This Beaujolais is a ride. The nose is a whirlwind of dark florals, seedy blue and red berries, fresh figs, and some baking spice. The palate is surprisingly subtle/subdued in comparison with a long, classy finish that brings a hint of savory black olive.
Sourced from 45 and 70 year old vines Gamay grown on sandstone and schist soils in Saint Amour. The wine sees 15 days of carbonic maceration and has no added sulfur.
