Aspa is mostly an Assyrtiko, with 10% Athiri and 5% Aidani, all aged for three months in 50% new barriques. It comes in at 13.8% alcohol. Ripe and seemingly rich as it opens, this handles its wood well. It shows fine texture and coats the palate nicely in its youth. Despite the wood, it is more expressive than its sibling this issue, the Selection Cuvée (and, less surprisingly, a little fuller in mid-palate feel). It is a rather nice value point on the island just now. If it can age and develop a bit over the next several years, it might even be entitled to an uptick. I tend to think, however, that this will be at its best on the younger side
