The Hubert Lignier wines from Romain Lignier are some of Burgundy’s all-time greats. His last vintage before tragically passing away was 2004, and the winery experienced a few up-and-down years thereafter. Recent vintages, however, are very much back on track, and Lignier has reclaimed its place among Burgundy’s best.
These old-vine bottlings from the Côte de Beaune are spicy and deeply structured, but with a soft, silky texture that makes them approachable now.
