Picarana is the white wine from Bodega Marañones, the Pueblo white wine, a village wine made from the almost extinct Albillo Real, a white variety native to the Sierra de Gredos, specially to the warmest villages.
Grapes from an organic vineyard at the foothills of Sierra de Gredos, in San Martín de Valdeiglesias. Sourced from a combinations of plots with different orientations and characteristics, types of granite soils, altitude between 650 and 810 meters.
Hand harvested, pneumatic press, natural racking, fermentation with its lees in used French oak barrels.
